Share your concerns with regulatory bodies and Trust officials

Report your experience to regulatory bodies and Trust officials to hold OUH to account. It’s important to make these organisations aware of the unacceptable care you have experienced, to improve services for families in the future.   

Care Quality Commission (CQC): CQC is an independent regulator of health and social care in England. The regulator makes sure health services provide patients with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care and encourage services to improve. Visit the CQC website to make a complaint 

General Medical Council (GMC): GMC sets standards for medical education, training and professional standards for doctors in the UK. It investigates complaints and takes action on serious concerns. Visit the GMC website to make a complaint about an obstetrician or gynaecologist.  

Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC): NMC is an independent regulator that promotes high education and professional standards for nurses and midwives across the UK. It investigates concerns about midwives and nurses. Visit the NMC website to make a complaint. 

Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS): PALS is a confidential service that aims to listen to families and use their experiences and concerns to improve services at Oxford University Hospitals.  Email PALS@ouh.nhs.uk to make a complaint.

Oxford University Hospitals Governors: OUH Governors are elected by the public, OUH staff members and local organisations OUH works with. They hold non-executive Directors to account. Email the Governors at governors@ouh.nhs.uk 

Oxford University Hospitals Trust Board: The Trust Board has overall responsibility for the activity, integrity and strategy of the Trust. Email company.secretary@ouh.nhs.uk to contact Board members.
